Orange Crane Tunic
A long sleeved, A-line tunic top sewn from a beautiful Japanese kimono silk covered with flying cranes. In Japanese traditional culture, cranes represent good fortune and longevity. When open, the collar and facings show a contrasting red and white grass design. 7 buttons line the front.
Garment measures 42 inches bust, 44 inches hips, length at center back 29 inches. [Approximate industry size 10-12.]
All pieces are hand made one at a time in my Portland, Oregon studio. Fabrics are vintage Japanese silks. The very special fabric used in this tunic was woven and stenciled by Japanese artisans and sewn into a kimono. I removed the hand stitching, washed and prepared the fabric and sewed it into my tunic design.
Each piece I make is unique, most are one of a kind. I ship USPS priority at the beginning of the week.
