A one of a kind jacket with matching pants. The jacket is pieced with black and white fabrics from a variety of vintage Japanese silks. The white and cream colored silks are woven with different designs and textures. 6 glass buttons line the front. The jacket is fully lined with silk charmeuse.
A classic straight sided shape, I call this style 'Chanel'.
The matching silk crepe pants have side panels of the same pieced kimono silks as the jacket. Loose and soft, these pull-on pants have an elastic waist. Fully lined.
The jacket measures 41 inches bust, 44 inches hips, length at center back 26 inches. Size small. [Approximate industry size 10-12.]
The pants waist measures between 25 and 33 inches. 41 inches long.

All pieces are hand made one at a time in my Portland, Oregon studio. Fabrics are vintage Japanese silks. These very special fabrics were woven, stenciled, tie-dyed and painted by Japanese artisans. Many were still in the bolt on their way to become kimonos. Others had been sewn into kimonos but were no longer wearable. I remove the hand stitching, wash and prepare the fabrics for their new life. Each piece I make is unique, most are one of a kind.
