A loose fitting, straight sided top, I call this design 'hitoe,' which means unlined. This versatile top can be worn on its own, like a blouse, or over something else like a light weight jacket. It is sewn from a beautiful cream colored Japanese kimono silk with a design of green and blue butterflies with stylized navy colored grasses behind. The cream colored collar is woven with a design of pine needles. The sleeves can be rolled up to reveal the same silk as the collar. 5 pearl colored buttons line the front.

All pieces are hand made one at a time in my Portland, Oregon studio. The fabrics are vintage Japanese silks. The very special fabrics used in this 'hitoe' were woven and stenciled by Japanese artisans.
Each piece I make is unique, most are one of a kind. I ship USPS priority at the beginning of the week.
