Pink Ume Branches Hitoe

A loose fitting, straight sided top, I call this design 'hitoe,' which means unlined. This versatile top can be worn on its own, like a blouse, or over something else like a light weight jacket. It is sewn from a fantastic Japanese pink kimono silk with cherry blossoms in full bloom on silver gray branches. The center of the blossoms are subtle colors of light purple, blue, green, yellow and pink. The collar is a white silk with a red stripe design. The sleeves can be rolled up to reveal the same silk as the collar. 5 'pearl' buttons line the front.

Garment measures 39 inches bust, 42 inches hips, length at center back 23 inches. Size petite. [Approximate industry size 6/8]

All pieces are hand made one at a time in my Portland, Oregon studio. The fabrics are vintage Japanese silks. The very special fabrics used in this 'hitoe' were woven and stenciled by Japanese artisans.

Each piece I make is unique, most are one of a kind. I ship USPS priority at the beginning of the week.
