Morning Dawn Coat

A one of a kind coat sewn from vintage Japanese kimono silk. The painted fabric gradiates from a deep red/orange to a light peach at the top. Narrow strips of appliqued silk tubes emphasize this color shift as they change from a deep red at the bottom to a pale rose at the top. There are pockets in the side seams. Fully lined with silk charmeuse. 5 vintage glass buttons line the front.
Garment measures 44 inches bust, 46 inches hips, length at center back 36 inches. My coats are a bit roomier than my jackets, This coat is my size small. [Approximate industry size 10-12.]

All pieces are hand made one at a time in my Portland, Oregon studio. Fabrics are vintage Japanese silks. The very special fabric used in this trench coat was woven, stenciled and painted by Japanese artisans and finally sewn into a kimono. I removed the hand stitching, washed and prepared the fabric and sewed it into my trench coat design.

Each piece I make is unique, most are one of a kind. I ship USPS priority at the beginning of the week.
