A one of a kind coat sewn from leftover scraps of vintage Japanese kimono silk. Rectangles of turquoise, purple, mint and a very dark green kimono silk were sewn together to create this coat. The collar is sewn from the very dark green fabric. 5 carozo buttons line the front. Pockets are in the side seams. The coat is fully lined with silk charmeuse.
The garment measures 43 inches bust, 46 inches hips, length at center back 34 inches. Size small. [Approximate industry size 12-14.]

All pieces are hand made one at a time in my Portland, Oregon studio. Fabrics are vintage Japanese silks. These very special fabrics were woven, stenciled, tie-dyed and painted by Japanese artisans. Many were still in the bolt on their way to become kimonos. Others had been sewn into kimonos but were no longer wearable. I remove the hand stitching, wash and prepare the fabrics for their new life. Each piece I make is unique, most are one of a kind. I ship USPS priority at the beginning of the week.
