Not only a scarf, this extra wide scarf can be used like a shawl.
Lined with black silk charmeuse.

All silks are vintage. They were originally painted, stenciled, woven or dyed to be used for kimonos. Some were never used and have been in storage, others are from old kimonos.
The pictures show the scarf wrapped like a shawl, folded in half like a scarf and tied.
Each scarf is individually sewn in Portland, Oregon.

All pieces are hand made one at a time in my Portland, Oregon studio. Most fabrics are vintage Japanese silks. These very special fabrics were woven, stenciled, tie-dyed and painted by Japanese artisans. Many were still in the bolt on their way to become kimonos. Others had been sewn into kimonos but were no longer wearable. I remove the hand stitching, wash and prepare the fabrics for their new life. Each piece I make is unique, most are one of a kind. I ship USPS priority at the beginning of the week.
